Job Summary
The Operations Technical Training Supervisor supports the delivery and continuous improvement of technical training programs, ensuring workforce competency, compliance, and operational excellence across Global Operations. This role oversees training execution to support business and manufacturing goals.
This position will report to Operations Technical Training Manager.
Responsibilities
- Execute technical training programs aligned with business priorities, operational goals, and the annual training roadmap.
- Deliver competency-based training on manufacturing processes, including assembly, testing, troubleshooting, automation, and maintenance.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance training materials, SOPs, work instructions, and certification requirements.
- Support employee onboarding, qualification, certification, and competency assessments to ensure workforce readiness.
- Manage skills matrices, training records, and certification databases to accurately track employee competencies and qualifications.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, environmental, customer, and industry standards while supporting audit readiness and documentation requirements.
- Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Quality, HR, and EHS teams to identify skill gaps and implement targeted training solutions.
- Lead continuous learning and improvement initiatives by monitoring training effectiveness, coaching trainers, and driving workforce capability, productivity, and performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical training, manufacturing engineering, operations, or a related role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes, including SMT, PCBA, testing, assembly, and troubleshooting.
- Experience in delivering technical training programs, on-the-job training (OJT), competency development, and certification initiatives.
- Familiarity with quality management systems, industry standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, IPC, EHS, and related standards).
- Proficient in problem-solving, statistical analysis, lean manufacturing principles, risk assessment, and training performance evaluation.
- Strong communication, facilitation, organizational, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to engage employees at all levels.
- Proactive and detail-oriented professional with a continuous improvement mindset and experience maintaining training records, skills matrices, and compliance documentation.
