Job Summary

The MSR Engineer is responsible for overseeing Factory New Product Introduction (NPI) activities to ensure models are developed and launched in alignment with NPI Key Result Areas (KRAs). This position will report to Program Manager.

 

Key Responsibilities

1. Achieve Monthly Revenue Targets – Production at 95% vs POR

  • Coordinate project deliverables with Engineering and the release of build plans from the Program Manager (PM).
  • Ensure project and production build readiness in collaboration with Engineering and Factory teams.
  • Work closely with planners to track, escalate, and expedite critical parts to meet production plans.
  • Align and clean up MRP with Customer Service through PM build plan updates.
  • Coordinate capacity planning and standard time updates.

 

2. Monitor Production Demand for Assigned Models

  • Track daily model updates and shipments against required allocations per the build plan.
  • Initiate the release of required NPCAF for buffer and unrecoverable units.
  • Coordinate system transactions for approved NPCAF related to buffer and unrecoverable units.
  • Maintain MRP alignment and data accuracy with Customer Service through PM build plan updates.

 

3. Conduct Product Performance Reviews with Factory and Design Engineering

  • Coordinate the release of build reports from respective teams to assess overall project performance.
  • Drive the identification and closure of factory-related issues in coordination with Factory teams and Design Engineering.
  • Monitor and facilitate the closure of system problem logs with Factory teams and Design Engineering.

 

4. Lead Project Transition to Mass Production

  • Coordinate New Product (NP) to Mass Production (MP) build readiness with Factory teams.
  • Support capacity planning and standard time updates.
  • Coordinate the release of Manufacturing Plans with respective functional areas.

 

5. Ensure Compliance with Company Safety Programs

  • Actively participate in regular reviews and updates of Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Control (HIRAC).
  • Support initiatives to prevent safety incidents and first-aid cases.
  • Report near misses, unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and hazards, and provide feedback during toolbox meetings.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in New Product Introduction (NPI), manufacturing operations, or production/project coordination.
  • Proven experience in production planning, MRP systems, and coordination of build readiness from NPI through mass production.
  • Strong cross‑functional coordination skills with Engineering, Factory, Planning, and Program Management teams.
