Title: Supplier Quality Engineer I (Mechanical)
POSITION SUMMARY:
Provides technical support to the Supply Chain Management team. To ensure suppliers’ manufacturing and business processes are capable of delivering high quality products with on-time delivery.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Represents and supports all technical aspects relating to supplier selection based on supplier technical capability and capacity to provide AE requirements at an acceptable level of quality by conducting comprehensive technical surveys of potential suppliers.
2.Assists in development of commodity strategy by working closely with commodity groups.
3.Ensures that approved suppliers conform to all conditions defined in our Supplier Quality System Manual and provide evidence of continuous improvement in the quality of their output.
4.Review and response to the SCB/PCN timely.
5.Audit key suppliers regularly and prepare the audit report.
6.Performs as a team member of the Material Review Board (MRB), reviews Discrepant Material Reports (DMR) and provides corrective actions for any/all defective material that may be received from approved suppliers.
7.Provide "Knowledge Transfer" training to all new suppliers to ensure they are fully understood AE requirement and business process.
8.Prepare QBR/PBR for the Quality section and attend.
9.Regular review FMEA and SPM (Supplier Process Management Plan) with vendors to ensure improvement and process control are in place.
10.Review, track, and analyze annual quality data and provide QIP (Quality Improvement Plan).
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in the mechanical manufacturing process and quality control.
- Experience in the quality tools application such as SPC, FMEA, 8D and etc., preferably Six Sigma green belt/ black belt certified.
- Knowledge of ISO procedure and RoHS.
- Experience in auditing, qualifying, and selecting suppliers.
- Some travel will be required.
SKILLS:
- Good oral and writing skills in English.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
EXPERIENCE:
- At least 1- 3 years of SQE working experience of Machining / Sheet Metal / Plastic Injection industry.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in electronic & electrical/mechanical engineering or science/ Physic.
