POSITION SUMMARY: 

The Compensation & Benefits Manager for AETH Thailand, based at our Laemchabang, Chonburi facility, is responsible for managing compensation and benefits programs, payroll services, and workforce data processes across the site. This role ensures competitive, equitable, and compliant practices that support employee engagement and organizational efficiency for a workforce of approximately 3,000 employees.

Reporting to the Director, Human Resources – Thailand, the Manager plays a critical role in aligning local compensation and benefits initiatives with global HR programs and timelines. The position requires strong analytical skills, market knowledge, and the ability to balance employee needs with organizational goals while maintaining compliance with Thai labor law and regulatory requirements.
The Manager will also lead a small team of two direct reports, providing guidance, coaching, and performance oversight to ensure effective execution of compensation and benefits activities and continuous development of team capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
Compensation & Benefits Management
•    Execution compensation and benefits programs in line with company policies and Total Rewards framework.
•    Performs compensation reviews, including offer proposals, off-cycle adjustments, and recommendations during Annual Compensation Process
•    DL Wage Administration including Minimum wage adjustments, merit matrix, cost and budget calculations
•    Drafts proposal for individual International Assignment Packages
•    Partner with Total Rewards and broker on Employee insurance plan design; prepare benefit proposals.
Local Market Research & Job Evaluation
•    Conduct local market benchmarking and compensation surveys to ensure competitiveness.
•    Lead job evaluation and classification processes for jobs within an existing job framework.
•    Provide insights to leadership and Totla Rewards on pay trends and benefits practices.
Time Attendance, OT & Leave Management
•    Oversee systems and processes for attendance, overtime, and leave tracking.
•    Ensure compliance with labor regulations and internal policies.
Data Analysis & Reporting
•    Deliver regular reports and dashboards on compensation, benefits, and workforce metrics.
•    Support workforce planning and budgeting processes with accurate data.
Employee Data Quality & Service
•    Verify accuracy and integrity of employee records in HRIS and payroll systems.
•    Provide responsive support to employees on payroll and benefits queries.
Global Program Alignment
•    Ensure local programs are aligned with global HR initiatives and delivered according to corporate timelines.
•    Act as a liaison between local HR and global HR teams.
Team Leadership & Development
•    Supervise and mentor Compensation & Benefits staff members, ensuring alignment with departmental goals.
•    Delegate tasks and monitor workload distribution to optimize team efficiency.
•    Conduct regular check-ins, performance reviews, and development planning for direct reports.
•    Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that supports continuous learning and professional growth.
Educational Qualification
•    Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
•    Master’s degree or MBA preferred but not required.
•    Professional certifications such as SHRM-CP, CIPD, or equivalent are advantageous.
•    Training in Compensation & Benefits, Payroll, or HRIS systems is a plus.
Experience and/or Soft Skills Required
•    10 years of progressive HR experience in a large-scale, multi-national manufacturingenvironment.
o    Experience in electronics or high-tech OEM/contract manufacturing environments is preferred.
o    Proven experience managing compensation structures, payroll, and benefits programs.
•    5 years in a supervisory or lead HR role with exposure to compensation, benefits and payroll administration.
•    Strong working knowledge of Thai labor law and employment standards.
•    Proficiency in HRIS platforms (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors, Workday) and payroll systems.
•    Ability to use data analytics tools for compensation and benefits reporting.
•    Strong communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
•    Ability to manage sensitive issues with discretion and professionalism.
•    Collaborative mindset with ability to work across departments and levels.
•    Familiarity with internal control principles and audit readiness is a plus.
