Title: Service Technician III
POSITION SUMMARY:
In-house repair AE's product at repair work bench, provide customer technical support over the telephone or email when needed. This job includes: RMA repair & refurbishment, ECO upgrade and technical training support. The Bench/Service engineer will solve and provide technical solution for customer return RMA unit, this RMA repairing involving from simple failures until complex multi-interaction scenarios in the AE products from customer’s return RMA units.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Hand on troubleshoots and repairs most of the products produced by AE.
2. Troubleshoots electronic systems to determine cause and remedy for malfunctioning.
3. Solves problems and communicates on technical and service related issues via telephone or email.
4. Conducts semi-routine engineering and detailed experimental tests if needed.
5. Ensure service operation management dashboard goal and objective always meet the target setting.
6. Demonstrates quality workmanship and high efficiency in all work areas.
7. Performs calibration checks on electronic instruments .
8. Commit to customer repair OTD and RMA repair quality achievement.
9. Responsible to record all require RMA repair task in the SAP。
10. Able to provide and write a summary repair failure report.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
1. Works in a noisy and fast-paced manufacturing/engineering lab environment.
2. Completes many repetitive tasks that include the use of electronic assembly equipment.
3. Operates sampling and real time oscilloscopes, pulse generators, meters, power supplies and special test fixtures.
4. Troubleshoots high voltage power supplies.
5. Works under limited supervision.
6. Overtime may be necessary from times of time but increased depending on demand
SKILLS:
1. Ability to analytically interpret electronic circuit performance to debug and repair AE products.
2. Ability to read PCBA circuit schematics and blueprints.
3. Ability to exercise good judgment to resolve problems.
4. Ability to work independently.
5. Ability to balance many priorities at one time.
6. Ability to remain self-motivated.
7. Ability to theoretically understand problems.
8. Excellent computational skills.
9. Soldering, network analyzer knowledge and skills are needed.
EXPERIENCE:
Essential:
- At least 1-2 years of working experience in digital and analog electronics and knowledge in switching power supplies.
-Working knowledge in RF and DC power products: Hands-on technical trouble-shooting; operation of sampling and real time oscilloscopes, waveform generators, spectrum and network analyzers, power supplies, RF and DC fixturing for power supply characterization.
Desirable:
Prefer a minimum of 18 months of repair/FA experience on AE products. Product trouble-shooting to board level.
Experience with industry "standards" and competitive product experience.
EDUCATION:
1.Technical College, Associate of Applied Science degree or equivalent education and/or working experience in related field.
2. Electrical safety training (additional company safety courses may be required).
