Position Summary

The Test Engineer shall be responsible for validation and verification of various software products. Software Test Engineer will be involved from initial development until the final release of the products – ensuring that all software requirements are tested before the product is released to the customers, while adhering to Advanced Energy’s policies and procedures.

 

Responsibilities

  • Execute manual and automated unit and functionality tests for various software products using black box, white box and gray box approach.
  • Create and ensure that test plan covers all software requirements.
  • Develop and set-up test environment (i.e. software testing tools, automated test equipment, etc.) to be used for testing.
  • Create test cases and test scripts to be used for test automation.
  • Report issues/defects found during testing and collaborate with software development and other team interfaces on how these reported issues can be resolved/moved to closure.
  • Consolidate test results and defects to be used to provide recommendations for software release.
  • Regularly communicate test updates with internal and external customers.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT: 

  • This position is an in-person role and based in the Vancouver, WA office.
  • Works in a standard office environment utilizing standard office equipment, engineering lab and in a manufacturing facility

 

 

Qualifications

  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply

  • Has high level of accountability and can easily adapt to rapidly changing tasks.

 

EXPERIENCE: 

  • 2 - 4 years relevant experience in planning implementation and execution of tests.

 

 

 

Desired:

  • Experience in testing software and computer systems (GUI, API, Web and Mobile Applications) using a variety of languages (JavaScript, Python, C++, etc.) is a plus
  • Experience in using software Testing tools like Selenium, Postman, JIRA, etc. is a plus

 

 

EDUCATION: 

  • Technical school or equivalent vocational training with at least 3 years of relevant work experience (AA degree or equivalent required).

  

  

COMPENSATION: 

As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. The range of starting pay for this role is $75,000 to $85,000 per year.
