Title:  Sr Mechanical Engineer

OVERALL MISSION / PURPOSE

Responsible for all thermal related tasks in the TW Mechanical Engg to support and provide deliverables throughout the design standardization, RFQ & Platform development, New Program Introduction (NPI) development and Legacy models in accordance with customer requirements, regulatory standards and company quality policy. 
Aims are - satisfactory result of OTD ( On time Delivery) against the committed schedule, high quality, cost effective design, and customer satisfaction in multiple projects simultaneously as well as in good quality results.

 

KEY RESULTS AREAS / DUTIES,  RESPONSIBILITIES & TIME SPENT ON THE DUTY

New Program Introduction (NPI) development 

  • In any chance possible, it needs to work/design with the approach that the mat'l selected/design could be reused with the same IPN.It would be benefiicial to shorten the development leadtime and cost effective.

  • Support/provide delliverables to Lead engineer/team manager in standardization development.

 

RFQ & Platform development

  • Support/provide delliverables to Lead engineer/design team manager in RFQ & Platform development activities.

  • Propose thermal design concept and thermal simulation report to be included in technical proposal for customer

  • Support all thermal and acoustic related activity / deliverable in Platform design development


New Program Introduction (NPI) development 

  • Responsible for supporting all thermal related activities / deliverables in NPI development starting from Proto to PVT.

  • Activities include, but not limit to,  thermal and acoustic design, related verification tests, Reliability Engg (RE) test support, design review meeting, customer conference call, factory DFM review, factory build support…etc

  • Deliverables include, but not limit to,  CRTM, test / design check report, thermal simulation report, design document for customer approval, inof to Engineering Coordinator (EC) for BOM or document release, …etc

 

 

JOB SPECIFICATION / COMPETENCY REQUIRED

Knowledge

  • Airflow / Thermal management of Power supply cooling

  • Heat transfer, fluid and thermodynamics theory

  • Design and manufacture knowledge in heatsink and other thermal solution

Skills

  • Proficiency in FloTHERM simulation

  • Proficiency in thermal and wind tunnel verificaiton test

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skill in both Mandarin and English

  • Ability to use 3D modeling program
