Title:  Lead Electronic Engineer

OVERALL MISSION / PURPOSE

As a leading engineer, the candidate is expected to have in-depth knowledge in embedded designs and control algorithms in power conversion control. The role involves full ownership of new program development, including circuit and component design, evaluation, and cross-functional collaboration with internal teams and stakeholders.

 

Job Descriptions

1. Design and follow up project of supplies development for high power and high power density

-Electrical circuit design (including magnetic & thermal design) & analysis followed by Engineer Leader's instruction

-Supporting Schematic capture & PCB design with CAD engineer

-Circuit simulations & reports

-Know the power application of AI server power and Cloud service

-Keep track on Project schedule

 

2. FA, Testing & debugging

-Failure analysis & problem solving with corrective/preventive actions

-Supporting Unit power up & waveforms' capture in each design stages

-Required bench works of manual & ATE test independently

 

3. Design documentation

-Customer Specification & technical documentation check 

-BOM maintenance

-Responsible on Design review minutes

-Other Design related documents such as compliance matrix, test plan, .., etc generation & maintenance

 

4. Design support

-Component sourcing & evaluation

-Works with PM, support teams and factory to ensure smooth development

-Participates in conference calls with customer & supplies

-Provides technical supports for production and field problems

 

5. Act as liaison between Artesyn engineering and customer

-Must have good communication skills

-Must know how to assess customer requirements

-Must be able to socialize with different types of people

 

Requirement

  • Diploma / Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent or related, advanced degree is preferred
  • Minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience in electronic design of switching mode power supply; Experience in Hyperscale projects is highly preferred
  • Proficiency in simulation tools; Simplis/Psim/Mathcad/Ansys MAXWELL or Q3D
  • Able to work independently and have good judgment and problem-solving skills
  • Solid experience on research & development of server power supply
  • Strong knowledge of power electronics and bench work; knowledge of firmware programming is plus
  • Initiative and a good team player
  • Good organizing skill in project planning
  • Good presentation skill and good coaching skill
  • Self-motivator and creative thinking
  • Good written/spoken mandarin/English and strong communication skill to handle communication with internal and external parties

 

Candidate with less experience may be considered for the position of Senior Electronic Engineer.
