Title:  Lead Electronic Engineer

POSITION SUMMARY:

As a leading engineer, the candidate is expected to have in-depth knowledge in embedded designs and control algorithms in power conversion control. He / she is expected to take responsibility for new program development, design, evaluation of circuits, components, and communication across functional teams.

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Design and follow up project development
    • To have electrical circuit design (including magnetic & thermal design) & analysis independently.
    • To conduct circuit simulations & deliver reports
    • To have regular conference calls with customers
  1. FA & debugging
    • To resolve technical issues
    • To have power up debugging & waveforms' capture in each design stages
  1. Design documentation
    • To support customer specification & technical requirement reviews
    • To review test reports and technical documents for customers
    • To take responsibility for the weekly project meeting & design reviews
  1. RFQ
    • To work on BOM cost and technical proposal for new opportunities
  1. Coaching
  • To provide guidance for junior / senior engineers to complete the tasks
  • To monitor the progress of tasks assigned to junior / senior engineers to meet project schedule

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT :

Regularly work in Taiwan office and lab. Occasionally travel to Philippines factory or Customer site for on-site support.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 8 years relevant experience in electronic design of switching mode power supply; Experience in Hyperscale projects is highly preferred
  • Solid experience on research & development of server power supply
  • Strong knowledge of power electronics and bench work; knowledge of firmware programming is plus
  • Candidates with less experience will be considered as Senior Engineer

 

EDUCATION:

Bachelor Degree in Power Electronics or Electronic / Electrical Engineering or equivalent
