Job Summary
The Programmer- Application Developer is responsible for the technical development and ongoing support of one or more eTrace modules across all Advanced Energy sites. eTrace serves as the Warehouse and Shopfloor Execution System for EP factories and is planned for deployment at additional sites and future acquisitions. This role also involves taking ownership of the development and support of other applications, aimed at enhancing manufacturing operations and meeting evolving business requirements.
Responsibilities
Development and Support for eTrace (SOX)
- Collaborate with Business Analysts to understand user requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- Partner with team members in the development, coding, testing, and debugging of applications.
- Provide ongoing support for eTrace, including enhancement releases and data maintenance, in compliance with IT Change Management processes.
Standardization, Rollout of eTrace to other sites
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to conduct technical assessments for rolling out eTrace to other APAC facilities.
- Assist the Project Manager in developing a detailed execution plan to ensure a smooth go-live with minimal operational disruption, including contingency strategies to address potential exceptions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent education and experience).
- Hands-on experience in the development and support of ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
- Familiarity with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems is a strong advantage.
Technical Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Visual Studio, HTML, and related web technologies.
- At least 1 year of experience in .NET development (ASP.NET, VB.NET, C#).
- Skilled in MS SQL Server; knowledge of Bootstrap and UI design is a plus.
- Experience with Bitbucket and Jira is an added advantage.
Development Skills
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting requirements, identifying enhancements, and troubleshooting issues.
- Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle.
- Capable of developing applications, modules, and functions with minimal supervision.
- Experienced in supporting existing applications and preparing both technical and user documentation.
Functional Skills
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration abilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to learning new technologies.
- Able to test web applications and follow project and team standards.
- Effective communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
