Job Summary
The Project Management Office (PMO) Manager serves as a centralized function responsible for establishing, maintaining, and enforcing standards for New Product Introduction (NPI) execution within the factory. It ensures that projects are effectively planned, executed, and delivered in alignment with organizational goals.This role plays a key role in driving consistency, governance, and control—enabling the organization to deliver the right projects efficiently and in the right way.
Essential Responsibilities
Governance & Standards
- Align factory NPI procedure with the global (e.g. MRM) and BU Product Development Process (PDP) procedures
- Ensure consistency and compliance across projects
Portfolio & Strategic Alignment
- Helps prioritize projects based on business value and capacity
- Ensure projects align with organizational strategy
- Supports executive decision‑making through portfolio visibility
Performance & Reporting
- Tracks project health (scope, schedule, cost, risks, benefits)
- Produce dashboards and status reports for leadership
- Enables early identification of issues and corrective actions
Resource Management
- Coordinates shared resources across projects
- Balances demand vs. capacity
- Helps reduce conflicts and over‑allocation
Risk & Issue Management
- Establishes standards for risk identification and mitigation
- Escalates major issues appropriately
- Improves predictability of delivery
Capability Development
- Provides project management training and coaching
- Mentors MSR leads / MSR
- Promotes best practices and continuous improvement
Tooling & Data
- Owns or supports project management tools (e.g. MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet)
- Maintains project data integrity and historical records
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
- With 8 year experience in electronics manufacturing or EMS environment and 3 years in an NPI, Production, or Manufacturing Engineering leadership role
- Strong knowledge of NPI processes, manufacturing transfer, and ramp-up management
- Strong knowledge of project management principles (scope, schedule, cost, risk, and quality)
- Certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum is an advantage
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and portfolios simultaneously
