POSITION SUMMARY:

The Director, Global Real Estate is a global leader responsible for the full end‑to‑end real estate lifecycle across a worldwide portfolio. The role centralizes accountability for real estate strategy, transactions, design governance, and capital project delivery — owning the process and outcomes from initial business need through delivery of fully operational facilities. Based in Singapore with a global mandate, the role partners closely with business leadership and enabling functions to ensure real estate decisions directly support long‑term operational strategy, scalability, and risk management.

Essential Responsibilities: 

  • Enterprise Real Estate Strategy & Requirements
    • Translate business plans and growth forecasts into clear global space requirements
    • Establish standardized requirements, approval gates, and alignment processes prior to execution

  • Site Selection & Transaction Governance
    • Lead global site selection and feasibility assessments
    • Oversee all leasing, acquisition, disposition, and renewal activity
    • Govern broker strategy and transaction quality worldwide

  • Design Governance & Technical Standards
    • Own global design standards and space programming for office, manufacturing, and lab environments
    • Ensure designs meet critical electrical, mechanical, and compliance requirements
    • Govern performance of architects, engineers, and design consultants

  • Capital Project Planning & Delivery
    • Own global real estate capital project planning and execution
    • Provide oversight of construction, budgets, schedules, and change control
    • Govern performance of 3rd party construction managers and consultants

  • Facilities Handoff & Operational Readiness
    • Define commissioning, documentation, and readiness standards
    • Ensure facilities are stable, compliant, and operationally ready before transition
    • Maintain accountability through post-handoff stabilization

  • Portfolio Management & Data Ownership
    • Maintain accurate global real estate data and performance metrics
    • Oversee lease administration and ensure data is accurate for timely execution
    • Own a rolling 6–18 month global real estate roadmap for executive visibility

  • Global Team Leadership
    • Build, lead, and scale a globally distributed real estate organization
    • Establish operating rhythm, accountability, and talent development to support growth and an outstanding work environment

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Works in a standard office environment and uses office equipment (telephone, PC, copier, fax machine, etc.).

Travel required approximately 20% of time both domestic and international. Regular travel to different sites in the regional and globally as needed, including construction environments

SKILLS:

  • SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

    • Deep knowledge of real estate regulations and project management
    • Ability to influence across global organizations and collaborate in an international matrix environment
    • Strong communication and presentation skills
    • Analytical mindset with focus on performance metrics

EXPERIENCE:

  • 10-15+ years of experience in global real estate from multinational organizations with at least 5 years in leadership roles
  • Experience in industrial, electronics, or semiconductor sectors preferred

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable field required, real estate or facilities specialization preferred
