This position will report to Manager, Advanced Manufacturing Engineer.
Key Responsibilities
Early involve (Shift left) in critical NPI product design and development
- Work with AE DE and NPI Manufacturing Engineer to ensure key Quality Procedures requirements are met and resolve any problems that may happen.
Provide technical support
- Work with AE design teams and factories NPI/MP engineering on, but not limited to, the following:
- Critical issues related to manufacturability and conduct effective RCCA and preventive actions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Develop new processes/technology to meet quality requirements.
- Establish process planning including design, development, validation, qualification, documentation, control and maintenance. Access process risk, identify actions and follow up with NPI engineers for effective completion.
- Implement DoE to prove that new processes or solutions are effective.
- Update related procedures all lessons learnt to avoid re-occurrence.
- Work with Component Engineering on special new component introduction.
DFM rules/guidelines (Quality Procedures-QP) development and update
- Work with AE design sites and factories to ensure QP aligns with design requirements and factory capabilities, and covers lessons learnt from NPI, customers and suppliers.
Continuously involve and reflect improving process capability in QP
- Collaborate with AE factories on improvement tasks for better process quality, manufacturability and process capabilities, conduct DoE for data support, and reflect the enhanced process and capability in QP.
Align and standardize QP requirements
- Coordinate among AE design sites and factories to align different critical DFM preference, requirements or systems into common standards, like those between Plasma Power and System Power, different eCAD and mCAD system.
Manufacturing system standardization & improvement
- Standardize manufacturing systems like DFM assessment, standard labor time, productivity measurement, DL requirement planning, OEE, etc, and conduct improvement projects for all factories.
Qualifications
- Minimum of (5) years of experience in PCBA manufacturing, Design for Manufacturability (DFM), or electronic product manufacturing processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline preferred.
- Strong hands-on experience with SMT, wave soldering, and PCBA development.
- Proven experience in process design, process development, and manufacturing improvement initiatives.
- Ability to analyze and leverage data to drive decisions and improve manufacturing outcomes.
- Experience working in a fast-changing, dynamic manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent project planning, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- This is a full-time, onsite position reporting to the Rosario, Cavite site.
