Job Summary
The PSU Quality Manager is responsible for leading end-to-end quality performance of PSU (Power Supply Unit) manufacturing operations in Cavite, covering customer accounts, in-process quality, outgoing quality, and compliance to QMS standards.
This role ensures delivery of high-quality products, driving yield improvement, and managing customer quality requirements across all PSU programs.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manufacturing & Product Quality Management
- Own overall PSU quality performance (FPY, PPM, OATF, COPQ)
- Drive yield improvement and defect reduction initiatives
- Lead root cause analysis (RCCA) and corrective/preventive actions
- Ensure effective in-process quality controls and inspection points
2. Customer Quality (CQE Ownership)
- Act as primary escalation point for PSU customer issues
- Ensure timely response to customer complaints (8D, CAR, audit findings)
- Manage customer-specific requirements and quality expectations
- Lead MQE team supporting multiple PSU accounts
3. Manufacturing Quality Engineering (MQE)
- Lead MQE team in:
- Process validation and control
- Quality risk assessment (PFMEA, control plans)
- Line qualification (NPI to MP transition)
- Ensure robust process capability and defect prevention systems
4. Outgoing Quality & Inspection
- Oversee OQA / FVI inspection strategy and execution
- Ensure proper sampling plans and compliance to customer and internal standards
5. Operations & Performance Management
- Monitor and drive key KPIs:
- Yield / FPY
- Customer PPM
- Audit findings / CAR closure
- Productivity impact from quality issues
- Lead daily Gemba / tier meetings for PSU
- Support 24/7 operations and ramp requirements when needed
6. Compliance & Audit Management
- Ensure adherence to:
- QMS / ISO standards
- IPC requirements
- Customer audit expectations
- Lead site readiness for:
- Customer audits (e.g., Dell, Cisco, Panasonic)
- Internal audits and compliance reviews
7. Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, coach, and develop CQE, MQE, and QA teams
- Ensure proper headcount planning and capability building
- Drive a quality culture mindset across PSU operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electronics, Electrical, Industrial, or related)
- 8–12+ years in manufacturing quality / electronics industry
- Strong experience in:
- PSU / power electronics manufacturing (preferred)
- CQE/MQE roles
- High-volume production environment
- Test
- Semiconductor
- With people management experience (managerial level)
