Job Summary
The Inventory Analyst for Raw Material Shipment role is responsible for coordinating and executing global raw material shipment requirements across multiple manufacturing sites, ensuring timely fulfillment of material requests while balancing inventory availability, allocation priorities, and operational constraints. This position was established to address the significant increase in shipment volume, growing complexity of cross-site support, expanding customer requirements, and rising operational risks associated with material shortages, shipment delays, and manual planning activities.
The role serves as the primary coordination point among Planning, Purchasing, Warehouse, Logistics, and global requestors to ensure uninterrupted material flow and support manufacturing continuity.
This position will report to Inventory Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Global Raw Material Shipment Planning
- Develop and manage shipment plans for raw material transfer requests.
- Review and validate shipment requests against inventory availability.
- Prioritize shipments based on customer demand, production needs, and business impact.
- Coordinate material allocations during supply shortages and constrained situations.
- Ensure timely processing of shipment requests and purchase order (PO) requirements.
- Monitor shipment status, proactively resolve issues, and mitigate delivery delays.
- Collaborate with planning, manufacturing, logistics, and warehouse teams to ensure on-time material movement and supply continuity.
Material Shortage Management
- Manage material shortages and shipment risks, coordinating recovery plans, ETA updates, and mitigation actions with stakeholders.
- Coordinate shipment releases and material availability with Purchasing, Planning, and Warehouse teams to meet delivery commitments.
- Resolve shipment disruptions related to quality concerns, inventory discrepancies, allocation changes, and logistics constraints to ensure timely fulfillment.
Cross‑Functional Coordination & Issue Escalation
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and global sites to manage shipment priorities, resolve escalations, and ensure timely delivery commitments.
- Provide clear and timely shipment status updates to stakeholders while driving issue resolution and service continuity.
Continuous Improvement & System Support
- Drive process improvements by reducing manual planning activities, enhancing shipment visibility, and improving reporting accuracy.
- Maintain and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) to support compliance, business continuity, cross-training, and knowledge transfer.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of ERP/WMS systems (Oracle, SAP preferred) and supply chain operations.
- Understanding inventory management, material planning, logistics, and shipment processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills in resolving shipment issues, shortages, and urgent requests.
- Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, formulas), Word, and PowerPoint for reporting and analysis.
- Ability to manage high-volume transactions, competing priorities, and tight deadlines.
- Effective communicator with experience supporting global stakeholders and leading escalations.
- Strong collaboration skills, working with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Results-oriented, ensuring compliance, accountability, and timely delivery of commitments.
- This is a full-time, onsite position reporting to the Rosario, Cavite site.
