Title: Facilities Engineer 1
POSITION SUMMARY:
General experience in Facilities Engineer role for the global Facilities organization in precision power. Supply manufacturing factory for semiconductor, industrial and medical systems applications. Expected fundamental roles & responsibilities include handle facilities operations & maintenance critical building concerns/problems.
This position is to direct report to a Senior Facilities Engineer which is part of the Global Real Estate & Facilities team.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reviews and analyze daily operations report and provide actions to prevent potential risks on facilities utility systems
- Provides technical expertise on utility systems with a focus on efficiency, reliability, and maintainability.
- Conducts review on the daily activities and programs related to Facilities equipment (Generators, Switchgears, UPS, HVAC, CDA, Fire Protection System and Exhaust System) operation and maintenance.
- Identify and implement cost saving programs in support to departmental goals and objectives.
- Ensures the good operational condition of all equipment and utility by implementing appropriate preventive and corrective maintenance measures to avoid disruption in all plant operations
- Initiates and executes accomplishment of maintenance plant projects from beginning until end by ensuring technical soundness, good workmanship, and strict quality control to meet the objectives of the plant.
- Supervise the Preventive and Planned Maintenance program to minimize maintenance, repair and replacement costs together with minimizing the risk of failure.
- Recommend continuous quality improvement practices
- Ensures efficient utilization of company equipment, machinery, and utilities to achieve cost and effective measures of usage to maximize company assets and capital
- Determines and documents repair and maintenance job scope
- Must effectively leverage, keep updated and execute on all related emergency handling and communication tools
- Updates and reviews all facilities policies and procedures.
- Leads the shift of Operations & Maintenance, RFP process, operational support engagement on a regular basis for seamless operations.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Works in standard office environment and uses general office equipment (phone, PC, copier, etc.).
- Attends Facilities meetings and facilitate improvement of the Uility equipment system. Should be familiar with all work environments at AE.
- Require to monitor the operations of Laguna plant
- Need to respond to emergency facility-related situations
SKILLS:
- Good communication skills, both written and oral with English and leadership skills.
- Sound knowledge of building maintenance, mechanical and electrical (M&E) operations, and maintenance, technical services, or construction projects.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and building codes of a government agency
- Familiar with MS office software and CMMS
- Familiar with the building management system will be an added advantage
- Project management skills.
- Analytical skills to perform engineering calculations for design and troubleshooting
QUALIFICATION:
- Candidate must possess Bachelor’s /College Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
- Preferably 5 to 8 years of work experience as a facilities engineer in Facilities Operations and industrial set-up.
- Professional License (Passed Board/License Exam) is a must.
- Work experience in leading facilities team of 3rd party facilities technicians, janitorial services, security services, and contractors.
