Responsibilities

  • Execute NPI sourcing daily operation include RFQ, RFI, RFP, schedule, quality, Price analysis, negotiation and item awarding, DFM review with DE & Supplier, Database maintain during NPI development stage (EVT, DVT, PVT, IMP).
  • Supply base vendor master information upload to ERP and/or other Business System
  • New supplier development & management & vendor code creation.
  • Partner with Commodity Team on strategy, Sourcing Rule Management, and integrate it into an NPI sourcing strategy.
  • DFM review with DE and launch tooling kick-off meeting with the team.
  • Early involvement on design with DE at NPI stages, recommend cost efficient & manufacturable product design 
  • Accountable to driving technical discussions with design team & supplier for DFM reviews
  • Support engineering sample and prototype requirements with suppliers and manage need by dates
  • Support cost reduction and analysis activities to sustain & maintain NPI model competitiveness
  • Communicate any changes in design via ECO during the NPI process to suppliers
  • System access: Oracle, SAP, PDM (iPro & P-Tools), SharePoint, ESQR workflow tool, SNC, Ariba, others

 

Qualifications

  • Graduate of Mechanical Engineering
  • 3+ years’ experience as Mechanical Design Engineer or equivalent
  • Knowledge on Mechanical parts fabrication, main and secondary process
  • Knowledge/familiar on tool & die for mechanical fabricated parts
  • Know how on Design For Manufacturability and Manufacturing standard
  • Experience on technical costing and good cost negotiation skills
  • High Technical and Analytical Skills
  • Familiar on Mechanical raw material, accessories and chemicals
  • Proficiency at using SAP or Oracle ERP system will be a benefit, CAD 3D experience is a plus
