Position Summary

The Data Analytics & Privacy Specialist supports Advanced Energy Audit Services by contributing to the development and execution of the internal audit data analytics strategy, while also supporting Advanced Energy’s enterprise data privacy compliance program.

This role is primarily focused on data analytics within an internal audit and compliance environment, including the development, execution, and maintenance of analytics used for audit planning, testing, reporting, and continuous monitoring. In addition, the role supports the AE privacy program, including monitoring regulatory requirements, assisting with privacy processes, and supporting compliance activities.

 

Responsibilities

  • Support the execution of the Advanced Energy Audit Services data analytics strategy.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute data analytics to support:
    • Audit planning and risk assessment
    • Audit fieldwork and testing
    • Continuous monitoring and reporting
  • Work with large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and potential control issues.
  • Collaborate with Internal Audit, IT, and business stakeholders to obtain and validate data.
  • Document analytics methodologies, assumptions, and results in accordance with audit standards.
  • Support Advanced Energy’s enterprise data privacy compliance program.
  • Monitor and stay current on global data privacy regulations applicable to Advanced Energy, including U.S. state privacy laws (e.g., CPRA/CCPA), GDPR, and other emerging international requirements.
  • Assist with updates to privacy policies, procedures, and controls based on regulatory changes.
  • Support the execution and tracking of Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) in accordance with statutory timelines.
  • Maintain data mapping inventories and Records of Processing Activities (ROPA).
  • Support cookie compliance efforts and consent management tools.
  • Assist with privacy-related audits, assessments, and regulatory inquiries by gathering documentation and supporting evidence.

 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Security, Law, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in data analytics, audit, compliance, risk management, or related areas.
  • Experience in data analytics within an audit, compliance, or risk environment.
  • Experience supporting internal audit activities, including SOX controls, automated testing, or continuous monitoring is preferred.
  • Experience with data analytics tools such as Power BI, ACL, SQL, Excel, or similar tools.
  • Exposure to or working knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CPRA/CCPA, other U.S. state privacy laws), or a strong willingness to learn.
  • Experience supporting privacy-related activities such as DSARs, data mapping, ROPA, privacy assessments, cookie consent management platforms (e.g. OneTrust or similar) is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large datasets.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across Internal Audit, Compliance, IT, and business teams.
  • Prior experience working in a regulated, global, or multinational organization.
