Position Summary:
As an Engineer of Component Engineering, you will help introduce the importance of PML and PPL parts as well as multi-sourcing to Design. Make clear to DE the required action they need to deliver if it’s not completed at IMP stage. Maintain the component database to its optimal status for Advanced Energy products from technology, supply and a total life cycle perspective to support our design engineers and commodity managers on product development and maintenance. Take a pro-active role in ensuring that components used are high quality, reliable, and cost effective for developing projects. Your primary focus will require to manage the component system and helping the transformation for the company as well as performing data anaylsis specifically for electronics commodities
Responsibilities:
- Manage and define a most efficient/effective process to create an initial BOM to optimize the use of PPL, Multi-Source IPN and PML for Electrical parts.
- Proactively monitor BOM compliance and work closely with DE to define the required actions for BOM improvement during NPI development stages.
- Make clear with DE about their responsibility to get approval from their management if the defined task has not been addressed at IMP stage.
- As an Engineer, make sure to follow the P/N booking requirements and secure the required approvals before part number booking will be executed.
- Do a regular monthly analysis on NPI and define the necessary actions to meet the goas of NPI models. Shared the gathered data in the MRMR Monthly review with the defind actions.
- Be responsible in updating the alternate database accurately and complete.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Electronics, Power Electronics or Electrical Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Basic component knowledge on Electronic components and electromechanical
- Self-motivated, strong analytical and problem solving skills
- A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques
- Candidate with good experience will also be considered as senior position
