Position Summary:
As an Engineer of Component Engineering, you will help introduce and maintain the component database that is optimal for Advanced Energy products from technology, supply and a total life cycle perspective to support our design engineers and commodity managers on product development and maintaince. Take a pro-active role in ensuring that components used are high quality, reliable, and cost effective for implementing to the projects. Your primary focus will require to manage the component system and helping the transformation for the company as well as profroming data anaylsis specfiy for magnetics commodity.
Responsibilities:
- Work with design team in fulfillment of customer requirement for the NPI model at RFQ and kick-off stage and agreement on the component selection for application and customer needed.
- Review with manufacturer and support any component technical issue from design to production stage.
- Take the lead and work with design and production teams for disposition and ensure the alternate proposal change will not affect the design, quality and delivery requirements and schedules.
- To review supplier PCN, maintain the data integrity and mangaging iPro system including HTS code assignment.
- Conduct regular data analysis of the specify component commidty for driving continuous improvemement and develop of Preferred Part List, and bring a collaboration and cost advantage between the design engineering and the supply chain management for the best supporting.
- Interface with suppliers on technology roadmaps and coordinate with global design for product development.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering, or related disciplines.
- At least 3 years relevant experience.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Basic component knowledge of magnetics
- Self-motivated, strong analytical and problem solving skills
- A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques
- Good command of English and Mandarin.
- Candidate with good experience will also be considered as senior position
