POSITION SUMMARY:

 

The Senior SAP PP/DS Business Analyst is responsible for leading and executing advanced Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS) activities within the SAP S/4HANA environment. This role ensures seamless integration between PPDS, IBP, and other SAP modules, supporting both strategic and tactical supply chain objectives.

  • May work weekends and overtime when necessary.
  • Ability to travel as needed, both domestic and international.

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the configuration, implementation, and support of SAP PPDS, including master data management, transaction data flows, heuristics, and optimizer functionalities.
  • Design and optimize detailed scheduling processes to improve lead times, on-time delivery, and resource utilization.
  • Integrate PPDS with IBP and S/4HANA, ensuring smooth data flow and process alignment.
  • Manage CIF (Core Interface) activities and data wipe procedures to enable new test environments.
  • Oversee planning horizons, planned and production orders, and SYPP (Supply Planning) processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration with SAP PP, QM, MM, SD, and FICO modules.
  • Provide expertise in SAP support, rollout, and implementation projects, including interface management with third-party applications.
  • Develop and execute unit tests (UT), integration tests (IT/SIT), and user acceptance tests (UAT).
  • Prepare functional specification documents (FSD) and test scripts for custom developments.
  • Directly interact with business users and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Support IDOC (Intermediate Document) processing and troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to work across different time zones and travel internationally as required.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Minimum 13 years of hands-on experience with SAP PPDS and related modules.
  • Deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA, PPDS configuration, and integration with IBP.
  • Strong understanding of SAP master data, transaction flows, and detailed scheduling heuristics.
  • Experience with CIF, data wipes, and test environment setup.
  • Proven ability to work on SAP support, rollout, and implementation projects.
  • Knowledge of integration points with SAP PP, QM, MM, SD, and FICO.
  • Experience with interface management and third-party application integration.
  • Proficiency in preparing FSDs, test scripts, and conducting UT, IT/SIT, and UAT.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for direct interaction with business users and heads.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and travel as needed.

EDUCATION:

 

Essential:

  • Bachelor or equivalent in Computer Science or IT

  • SAP certifications (SAP S/4HANA Production Planning and Manufacturing (PP/PPDS), SAP S/4HANA Business Process Integration (BPI), etc.)
