Title: Engineer I - Component
POSITION SUMMARY:
Performs component engineering work in basic and applied research, development, and/or design of new products and/or sustaining of existing products.
Make the inputs of the work are clear, actionable, and compelling and the outputs are valuable and deliverable.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process IPMR (Internal Part Number Request) and control cycle time.
- Finding alternative part for OTS(Off The Shelf) part.
- Handle AVL ECO and Supplier Call Back.
- BOM Scrubbing and PCN report.
- Component AVL system clean up and maintenance.
- Understands the new product release and engineering change procedures to support the product during and after its transition into manufacturing.
- Adhere to organizational requirements on quality management, health and safety, code of conduct, legal stipulations, environmental, 5S policies and general duty of care.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to handle highly complex engineering assignments.
- Ability to read schematics and read datasheets to understand functionality of components.
- Ability to exercise good judgment to resolve problems.
- Ability to manage multiple projects at one time.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to be creative.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
EXPERIENCE:
- Konwleage in normal electronic components and able to read datasheet to understand functionality and parameters.
- Minimum of six (6) year engineering experience of related electrical components development.
- Knowledge in Microsoft Excel, SAP.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor of Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience and/or education.
- Electrical safety training (additional company safety courses may be required).
