Title:  Component Engineer II

POSITION SUMMARY: 

We are seeking a Component Engineer to drive component selection, AML integrity, and lifecycle risk management for EEE components, ensuring product reliability, compliance, and supply continuity across NPI and sustaining programs.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Select and evaluate components based on technical, environmental, and application requirements
  • Maintain and govern AML integrity while driving component standardization and alternate sourcing 
  • Perform BOM scrubbing to proactively identify lifecycle, obsolescence, and compliance risks
  • Align component selection with business strategy, including PML, supply continuity, and standardization goals
  • Monitor component lifecycle (Active, NRND, EOL) and manage PCN/obsolescence impact
  • Support risk mitigation strategies (multisource, last-time buys, redesigns)
  • Ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory standards (e.g., RoHS, UL)
  • Support NPI and provide component expertise across Engineering, Procurement, and Quality
  • Maintain accurate component data and documentation in PLM/ERP systems

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a component engineer.
  • Experience in component engineering, electronics, or manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of EEE components and datasheet interpretation
  • Familiarity with AML management, lifecycle, and obsolescence processes
  • Experience in BOM analysis or scrubbing for risk identification
  • Ability to interpret datasheets, PCNs, and reliability data
  • Experience with PLM/ERP systems (e.g., SAP)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

 

Preferred Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with Power BI, Silicon Expert or other data analysis tools.
