Title: Sr Supervisor, Work Order Management
POSITION SUMMARY:
Train and lead the warehouse stores analysts to ensure optimized flow of work orders and kitting output, meeting both customer demand and maximized production capacity.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage day to day activities of the warehouse analysts.
- Analyze and track warehouse work order metrics (lead time, units per day, aging, etc.).
- Manage changing priorities to optimize customer requirements.
- Maintain the daily kitting schedules and reports to meet optimum capacity of kitting output.
- Use Microsoft applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Teams).
- Communicate plans clearly and regularly.
- Adhere to organizational requirements on quality management, health and safety, code of conduct, legal stipulations, environmental, 5S policies and general duty of care.
- Other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Location: Penang Science Park, Simpang Ampat Penang.
- Primarily works in a manufacturing, shipping & warehousing environment which is fast paced and must adhere to safety requirements.
- Ad-hoc support for the weekend for any urgent issues.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to present ideas in a structured and persuasive manner, both orally and in writing.
- Capability to respond quickly, decisively, assertively, and professionally to changing requirements.
- Ability to manage and lead a team of 60~100 Material Handlers.
- Ability to organize, schedule, coordinate, and negotiate effectively and to set priorities in a manner which ensures maximum performance and goal accomplishment.
- Detail oriented and process focused.
- Proficient experience of SAP warehouse module.
- Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of demand-based manufacturing systems.
- Good PC skills, including Excel, Word, Powerpoint, MS Standard Office.
- Strong Leadership to drive warehouse workforce to achieve the desired performance excellence and to initiate problem solving forum with cross function and inter-sites’ peers and leaders.
- Multi-Tasking capability.
- Ability to motivate the workforce to enhance their morale.
- Ability and proactive to engage and effectively resolve conflict situations and employee disciplinary and performance issues.
EXPERIENCE:
- 5 years of experience in warehouse supervisor or planning experience.
- Experience with proper handling of static sensitive material preferred.
- Experience in MRP system, WMS and SAP is mandatory.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor Science in Business Administration, Production/Operations Management (or closely related field).
- A combination of relevant experience and/or education that is equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree.
- Industrial Engineering, Materials/Manufacturing Management, or Business degree.
