Title:  Shipping Coordinator II

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for managing all the inbound and outbound shipments and coordinating with warehouse team to full fill production orders and meet customer demand in a timely manner. Independence and quick thinking of decision making.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Work closely with Planner or Customer Advocate to prepare the shipment according to ship plan.

  2. Coordinate with Warehouse team to identify goods assign for shipment based on inventory available.

  3. Generate Delivery Note, Commercial Invoice and Packing List and other shipping related documents.

  4. Understand shipping instructions given for each order request in the system.

  5. Coordinates cargo pick-up arrangements with various or selected freight carrier/forwarders based on the incoterm and keeps track shipments movement.

  6. Understand each customer’s requirement and Customs compliance for Export/Import and Bonded shipment.

  7. To run the warehouse material report according to Planner request to support Production demand.

  8. Work with Warehouse team to ensure pick the correct item based on pull order request.

  9. Keep monitor and ensure the materials pack and ship as per schedule.

  10. Investigates and / or fixes any problem arise with respective party either shipment or Warehouse issue.

  11. Collect and record the data for KPI report.

  12. Keep and file all the shipping related documents properly for audit purposes.

  13. Adhere to organizational requirements on quality management, health and safety, code of conduct, legal stipulations, environmental, 5S policies and general duty of care.

  14. Maintain confidentiality of all information related to the production processes and components, business and other technology including materials.

  15. Other duties as assigned.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Location: Penang Science Park, Simpang Ampat.

  • Work in a standard office environment and used office equipment (phone, PC, copier, fax machine, etc).

  • Works under limited supervision.    

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Good knowledge in SAP, Logistics/Warehousing and Customs compliance.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Malay.

  • Good knowledge in Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Words, Power Point and Outlook).

 

EXPERIENCE:

Essential:

  • Minimum three to five (3-5) years of experience in Logistics/Shipping/Warehousing.

Desirable:

  • Prefer experienced in Logistics/Shipping/Warehousing.

 

EDUCATION:

Essential:

  • High school education or a combination of relevant experience and/or education that is equivalent to a Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree.

Desirable:

  • Prefer a strong personality with a dedicated, independent person and good team work.

  • Prefer certification in Windows, Excel, and Word and / or equivalent experience at an intermediate level, if available.
