Title: Engineer III-Facility
POSITION SUMMARY:
Act as an expert of Electrical Facilities Engineer where you will plan and execute facilities operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and project management. You will be the system owner for buildings system, gas system, DI water system and elevator system as well on top of the key core responsibility on electrical system. You will lead a team of technicians and contractors in troubleshooting and drive improvement to related system and ensure zero unplanned interruption to production.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Planning & Leadership
- Develop strategic long term maintenance plan for entire electrical, building, gas, DI water and elevator system in the factory then implement the plan with evidence record keeping.
- Drives continuous improvement and avoidance of unplanned downtime for facilities equipment.
- Develop capacity monitoring for facilities system and planned for added capacity whenever it is required.
- Develop an effective checklist for the facilities system that will be used for shift technicians for monitoring the health status of facilities equipment.
- Budget planning for operation, maintenance and improvement project related to facilities system.
- Keep drawing updated whenever there are changes to the utilities line or facilities system.
- Manage Janitorial teams and work with janitorial team to have effective cleaning programs for the Plant.
- Act as a technical mentor for the shift technician and operation team, work with technician on troubleshooting and solve technical problems encountered.
- Other duties as assigned.
Governance, Compliance & Risk Management
- Maintain all the related licenses to be updated as per legal requirement for all facilities equipment.
- Owns audit readiness and compliance documentation.
Project Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Leads complex engineering projects from concept to execution.
- Manages multidisciplinary project teams and external vendors.
- Partners with cross-functional teams (e.g. IE, Production etc) on capacity planning and expansion projects.
Technical Expertise & Innovation
- Serve as subject matter expert for the related facilities system.
- Optimizes system performance and reliability through data analytics and engineering analysis.
Operational Excellence & System Optimization
- Develop engineering performance KPIs and monitors adherence.
- Leads root-cause analysis for major system failures and drives permanent solutions.
Financial Management
- Prepares and manages engineering budgets, forecasts, and capital expenditure plans for related facilities system.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Location: Penang Science Park, Simpang Ampat.
- Works in standard office environment and uses general office equipment (phone, PC copier, fax machine etc.)
- Works in a fast-paced engineering/manufacturing lab environment.
- Overtime may be necessary in times of increased demand.
- Works under limited supervision.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
- Good troubleshooting skills and preventive maintenance skills
EXPERIENCE:
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical/mechanical engineering with 10 years experiences in semiconductor industry facilities management or
- Diploma in engineering with 15 years experience in semiconductor industry facilities management.
EDUCATION:
Essential:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
