Title:  Engineer II-Facility

POSITION SUMMARY:

Plans, budgets, and schedules facilities modifications including cost estimates, bid sheets, layouts, and contracts for construction. General experience in Facilities Specialist or Admin role for the global Facilities organization in precision power supply manufacturing factory for semiconductor, industrial and medical systems applications. Expected fundamental roles & responsibilities include AEMY Facilities budgets management, AutoCad drawings and admin support. This position is to direct report to AEMY Facilities Sr Manager as a part of the APAC Facilities team.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Documents office and equipment reconfigurations.
  2. Maintains current drawings of buildings, communications, site, and parking layouts.
  3. Manages critical infrastructure and facility upgrades involving cost, safety, and strategic asset planning.
  4. Works with confidential vendor agreements and infrastructure assessments.
  5. Maintains schedules for Facilities projects.
  6. Plans spaces for new employees.
  7. Tracks measurements for Facilities and Health and Safety.
  8. Assists Facilities Manager with day to day projects and special projects.
  9. Works on new building projects which require attending construction meetings, and provides equipment and office layouts.
  10. May be required to travel to remote offices to work on space related projects.
  11. Adhere to organizational requirements on quality management, health and safety, code of conduct, legal stipulations, environmental, 5S policies and general duty of care.
  1. Manage AEMY Facilities budgets including:

➢CAMs (or CapEx)

➢ PRs

➢ POs

➢ AEMY lease fees / utility fees

  1. AEMY sites’ AutoCad drawings control including:

➢ AutoCad drawings consolidation & update

➢ Layout drawings review co-work with local IE & AEMY facilities teams

➢ Construction drawings review with AEMY Project manager & Director

  1. Engineering documents consolidation and control including:

➢ Budgetary cost estimation

➢ Project plans and designs

➢ Engineering calculation and design specification

➢ Project schedule etc.

  1. AEMY Facilities admin support including:

➢ Manage agendas/travel arrangements/appointments etc. for the upper management

➢ Manage phone calls and correspondence (e-mail, letters, packages etc.)

➢AEMY Facilities common folder management in Shared Point

  1. Maintain confidentiality of all information related to the production processes and components, business and other technology including materials.
  2. Other duties as assigned.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

 

  • Location: Penang Science Park, Simpang Ampat.
  • Works in standard office environment and uses general office equipment (phone, PC copier, fax machine etc.)
  • Works in a fast-paced engineering/manufacturing lab environment.
  • Overtime may be necessary in times of increased demand.
  • Works under limited supervision.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Good project management skills.
  • Hands on experience with PCs and related programs such as Word, Excel, and Auto-Cad.

 

EXPERIENCE:

 

Essential:

  • 3 years experience in related fields.
  • Experience on facilities maintenance and repairing.

 

Desirable:

  • 3+ years experience in related fields.
  • Experience on clean room ,DI plant ,washing machine maintenance is priority.

 

EDUCATION:

 

Essential:

  • Bachelor degree in Facilities Management, Industrial Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Desirable:

  • Bachelor Degree in Industrial Electrical Automation or related.
