Advanced Energy is currently hiring a talented and experienced Sr. Electronics/Electrical Engineer

As a Senior Analog Electronics Engineer at Advanced Energy, you will be a member of a focused team of engineers and scientists working on various aspects of Photonics technology, delivering on sophisticated, forward-looking projects. You will be responsible for analog board designs, component selection, simulation, schematic capture and layout for our existing and next generation products. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in board design for highly reliable, high-precision equipment.




  • Design high-precision, low-noise analog/digital boards with commercially available components including voltage/current sources, power supplies, amplifiers, and ADCs/DACs.
  • Improve and optimize board designs for noise, accuracy, and speed.
  • Select electronics components for the boards.
  • Conduct schematic capture and schematic reviews.
  • Create SPICE models for boards, run simulations.
  • Oversee board layouts.
  • Bring-up boards. Perform board testing and analysis.
  • Support electronics & software systems integration and testing.
  • Write documentations and prepare pertinent reports.





  • High-performance, high-precision, mixed signal, and low-noise analog board design.
  • Circuit design/analysis fundamentals.
  • Schematic capture and SPICE modeling/simulation.
  • Electronics noise mitigation, isolation, shielding, grounding, signal integrity.
  • Be a team player and hold to a competitive schedule. Share technical information with team.
  • Prior experience in optics, temperature measurement, or semiconductor equipment is a plus.
  • B.S., M.S. or Ph.D. in electrical/electronic engineering (EE) or related fields.




  • This position is located at our Milpitas, CA office.
