Title:  Competitive Intelligence Marketing Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to our VP of Strategic Marketing, the Competitive Intelligence Marketing Analyst will be the key contributor to our efforts in creating and enhancing a scalable competitive intelligence and reporting engine to gather, analyze, and dissimulate the most relevant and up-to-date competitive intelligence across our global organization in a timely manner. The Marketing role is responsible for developing and evolving our processes, add new capabilities, and leading initiatives related to competitive intelligence. To maximize the impact on the organization, the individual will require to interact with a wide range of business leaders across Advanced Energy’s global organization and build strong business relationships with global stakeholders. He/she is responsible for creating tools, developing, and evolving our processes, add new capabilities, and leading initiatives related to competitive intelligence. He/she will contribute to generate competitive intelligence insights, deduct conclusions, and making recommendations where appropriate.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate all aspect of competitive intelligence, including gathering of information to compose competitive intelligence reports, aggregating information from disparate sources, using technology to enhance and summarize data, and drawing conclusions where appropriate
  • Develop frameworks, tools, database, repositories, standardized deliverables, etc. to enhance our competitive intelligence process
  • Depends on technical background, coordinate, or lead technical competitive analysis, such as analyzing competitor’s technology, roadmaps, product features
  • Contribute to crafting of competitive responses to help sales and marketing with effective messaging against our competition Support new business development by providing analysis of strengths and weaknesses of the competition

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrated communication and writing skills
  • Self-driven and the ability to take high-level direction and drive key results
  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal
  • Ability to solve problems and apply critical thinking
  • Ability to build strong business relationships and work at all levels of an organization, up to executives

 

EXPERIENCE:

3+ years of experience in the power supply, power semiconductor, capital equipment, and/or hardware technology industries

Experience in competitive intelligence, strategic marketing and market analytics is preferred

Demonstrated experience with market research skills, including investigative, data analysis, data synthesis and data driven insights

 

EDUCATION:

  • Preferred but not required: B.S. in electrical engineering or a similar engineering program
