Title:  Trade Compliance Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY:

 

This job requires wide-ranging expertise and skill-sets. The position performs a variety of duties using deployed engineering and office tools under general supervision and guidance from the Trade Compliance Manager in Mexicali.  In this position you will be responsible for a variety of associate functions for the Corporate Legal department including, but not limited to: performing daily review and log of imports and border-crossing documents, support anti-dumping/countervailing duties compliance program, communicating with customs brokers, and support our internal US-Mexico-Canada qualification assessment process.

 

The successful candidate will have related experience with logistics, import/export compliance, and will work to ensure AE maintains the highest level of import and export compliance.



ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily entry review and log of US Imports and border crossing documents
  • Support anti-dumping/countervailing duty process, including logging and recordkeeping
  • Prepare Ozone Depleting Chemical (ODC) Report
  • Serve as MK Denial administrator
  • Support duty drawback compliance process
  • Communicate with Customs brokers to ensure timeliness of clearance and accuracy of data transmitted by service providers on behalf of AE, including corrections of entries
  • Support US-Mexico-Canada Agreement qualification process, including data entry, recordkeeping management, etc.

 

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

 

Works in standard office environment and uses general office equipment (phone, PC copier, fax machine etc.)

EXPERIENCE:

 

  • Computer literate with experience with Microsoft office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Minimum of two years of related work experience in U.S. export/import regulations and global trade compliance in a multi-division company
  • Practical application of screening restricted parties
  • Experience in creating and maintaining work instructions to ensure regulatory compliance
