Title:  Sr. Tool Maker

The Sr. Tool Maker is responsible for designing, building, repairing, and maintaining precision tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures used in manufacturing processes. This role ensures that all tooling meets quality standards, supports production efficiency, and complies with safety regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Tool Fabrication: Manufacture, assemble, and finish tools, dies, and fixtures according to engineering specifications and blueprints.
  • Maintenance & Repair: Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair worn or damaged tools to restore functionality.
  • Precision Machining: Operate CNC machines, lathes, grinders, and other equipment to achieve tight tolerances.
  • Quality Assurance: Verify dimensions and tolerances using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges).
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of tool designs, modifications, and maintenance activities.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, production teams, and quality control to ensure tooling supports manufacturing requirements.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Technical diploma or certification in Tool & Die Making, Machining, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of experience in tool making or precision machining.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in CNC programming and manual machining.
    • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T.
    • Ability to work with various metals and materials.
  • Other: Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently.
