POSITION SUMMARY:

 

This role is responsible for administration, and communication of compensation and benefits programs that support business strategy for our Mexicali, MX factory. Aligns local practices to the global Total Rewards strategies and local requirements. Partners with Global Total Rewards team on the design and evaluation of Total Rewards programs that will attract, motivate, and retain talent in all areas of the business. Responsible for HR Operations functions for the site including ensuring employee data accuracy in all systems, leave management, Time & Attendance, Reporting, and Employee Services.

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

•           In alignment with the Global Total Rewards team, drives compensation and benefits programs, analysis and practices for the Mexicali, MX site.

•           Reviews proposed pay changes for alignment with corporate philosophy, policies, and internal equity.

•           Partners with Global Total Rewards team to review and optimize programs including base pay, incentive programs, equity programs, and health and welfare programs that support talent acquisition, pay-for-performance and retention strategies. 

•           Proactively identify and address potential areas of concern as well as opportunities by partnering with the Global Total Rewards team.

•           Provide coaching to management regarding employee compensation, and conducts research and formation of proposals for management review. Analyzes career paths and job families to ensure compensation is in appropriate alignment.

•           Responsible for HR Operations functions for the site including ensuring employee data accuracy in all systems, leave management, Time & Attendance, Reporting, and Employee Services.

•           In partnership with Global Total Rewards team, manages and negotiates relationships with local benefit brokers, plan providers, vendors, auditors, TPAs and/or consultants for services, premiums, and plan administration where needed.

•           Manages leaves of absences in accordance with company policies and country and local requirements.

•           Evaluates and drives mandatory government pay increases and the year-end compensation process in alignment with the Global Total Rewards team to expected standards and timelines. 

•           Maintains a working knowledge of legislation that may affect compensation and benefits policies and practices. 

•           Partners with the Payroll department to ensure accuracy of pay for the Mexicali based employees, including providing updates aligned to promotions or the annual compensation processes.

•           Performs other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE:

Essential:

•           Eight to ten years of progressive HR experience focused on compensation and benefits, at a large factory (public company experience preferred).

 

•           Minimum of three to five years of supervisory experience.

 

•           Experience with HR metrics, information and data analysis, impact analysis, cost-benefit analysis, ROI, and globally integrated solutions with ability to interpret data to make fact-based decisions.

 

 

 

EDUCATION:

Essential:

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Human Resource Management, Business or related discipline

 

Desirable:

Advanced degree (Masters in HR-related discipline or MBA)
