AE’s Advanced Power products group provides leading, field-proven power control capabilities that enable complex semiconductor processes and other high-technology applications.

Advanced Energy is currently hiring an experienced Project Manager to lead a Pilot Line team within the Trek product group to effect the transformation of initial product designs thru prototype manufacturing/test activities and production release in compliance with AE’s Product Development Process (PDP).  This includes achieving procurement and manufacturing goals that support the business objectives, identifying and implementing process improvements, and assisting in the implementation of long-term strategic planning objectives as required. 



  • Interface with core teams (Teams typically include Design Engineering, Product Management, NPI functional experts, Supply Chain, Operations) to develop build plans, establish schedules, gain plan-of-record approval, and facilitate project execution.
  • Manage the implementation, review, and ongoing updating of procurement and manufacturing requirements.
  • Facilitate team meetings, remove obstacles, and monitor and communicate progress to milestones to internal stakeholders.
  • Manage major risks and issues through effective contingency plans and proper escalation.  Assist the core team to meet or exceed program targets (Schedule, Quality, Financial).
  • Work with stakeholders to establish plans to achieve product quality goals.  Ensure the team achieves the desired quality level and attainable product cost to facilitate product transition from Pilot Line to volume production.
  • Schedule and manage all Pilot Line production/test operations. Track progress, report status, and make necessary corrections to achieve all program goals.
  • Ensure assembly/test technicians are adequately trained to perform their assigned job responsibilities and supervise their work to maximize safety and productivity.

  • Approximately 10-plus total years relevant work experience required.
  • Electro-mechanical Assembly/Test experience.


  • 5-plus years of experience leading cross-functional teams in the creation of electromechanical products with embedded microcontrollers




  • Bachelor’s degree or comparable work experience in lieu of education required.



  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology
  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMI PMP)
