Title: Agency - Sr. Quality Engineer
POSITION SUMMARY:
This Quality Engineer role requires a strong background in ISO/IEC 17025 compliance. The role is critical in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our testing and calibration processes, supporting product quality, and maintaining accreditation standards. It also requires auditing quality systems, determining quality metrics, monitoring production and reports on non-conformances.
Responsibilities
1. Quality System Management & Compliance
- Manage and maintain the quality system in alignment with ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
- Coordinate internal audits and support external assessments by accreditation bodies and customer auditors.
- Ensure proper documentation, traceability, and control of calibration, testing records, and quality documentation.
- Update the Quality Management System (QMS) with incidents, fixes, and improvements.
- Review, maintain, and update drawings and quality documentation to reflect current standards.
2. Manufacturing Quality Assurance
- Monitor product quality throughout the production cycle to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
- Inspect product materials and assemblies for defects and durability.
- Analyze test data and failure trends to identify root causes and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Support qualification and validation of test equipment and measurement systems.
- Ensure products manufactured meet or exceed quality specifications and safety standards.
3. Metrics, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Determine and track quality metrics and KPIs for manufacturing lines and procedures.
- Report relevant KPIs to corporate on a weekly basis.
- Lead initiatives to improve manufacturing quality processes using Lean, Six Sigma, SPC and MSA methodologies.
- Proactively recommend solutions to improve product durability, performance, and customer satisfaction.
- Prepare reports on defects, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
4. Leadership & Training
- Act as the site’s quality subject matter expert and point of contact for quality-related matters.
- Set detailed guidelines and communicate expectations for quality standards to manufacturing and quality teams.
- Identify training needs and implement programs for manufacturing and quality staff.
- Train production personnel on ISO 17025 procedures and quality standards.
5. Customer & External Interface
- Support the Customer Quality team in resolving customer issues and improving satisfaction.
- Drive actions to reduce RMAs in line with company goals.
- Coordinate with external quality assurance auditors to ensure regulatory compliance.
6. General
- Perform all other duties as assigned to support quality and operational excellence.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Works in a manufacturing environment which may be noisy and fast-paced.

EXPERIENCE:
- 3-5 years’ quality engineering experience in an electronics manufacturing environment including Quality Management Systems (QMS) and testing methodologies, root cause analysis, problem-solving methodologies, and risk assessment.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or other relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
COMPENSATION:
As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. The range of starting pay for this role is $110,000.00 to $125,000.00 per year.
