POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Product Marketing Manager partners closely with key customers, field teams, and product leadership to shape product roadmaps, anticipate industry shifts, and accelerate market share growth. This is a high-impact role that blends strategic vision with hands-on execution, with clear ownership of driving market expansion and customer value.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead customer engagement through Total Relationship Management (TRM) and roadmap discussions
- Identify and analyze target market segments, industry trends, and emerging technologies; partner with industry experts to define growth strategies and market share targets
- Develop clear product positioning, value propositions, and differentiation with Product Management
- Align go-to-market strategies with corporate objectives, working cross-functionally with Marketing, Engineering, and Sales leadership
- Translate customer insights and market needs into actionable product and technology roadmap priorities Perform ongoing competitive analysis, including market share, positioning, strengths/weaknesses, and strategic moves
- Shape annual strategic planning, including market sizing, growth forecasts, and key inflection points
- Partner with Sales and Field teams to enable customer-facing messaging, tools, and campaigns that drive pipeline and revenue
- Represent the voice of the customer internally to influence product development and innovation priorities
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Location: Fort Collins, CO
- Environment: Standard office environment
- Some travel may be required
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, customer-focused messaging
- Strong strategic thinking with demonstrated ability to execute in fast-paced, cross-functional environments
- Data-driven mindset with experience using market insights to influence decisions and outcomes
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and external partners
- Experience working in global or matrixed organizations preferred
- Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing processes, plasma systems, or advanced materials is highly desirable
EXPERIENCE:
- 8+ years of experience in product marketing, technical marketing, applications engineering, or strategic sales within “within a technical product market
- Experience with semiconductor equipment manufacturers strongly preferred, particularly in roles such as product marketing, key account technologist, or field applications
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related technical field required Master’s degree (Engineering, MBA or similar) strongly preferred
COMPENSATION:
As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. The range of starting pay for this role is $160,000 to $220,000 per year.
