Positions Summary                                                   

As the NPD Quality Manager/Engineer you will be working closely with New Product Development (NPD) team engineers and managers in the various disciplines essential to successful launch of Advanced Energy (AE) products. Products that will include a variety of power supplies and matching networks, among others. The Product Development Process (PDP) followed in AE requires numerous deliverables during the process as it passes through phases from inception to production release with customer ready final design products.


As the Quality Manager/Engineer for NPD you will be the key resource to ensure due diligence and evidence of successful execution of deliverables from a quality perspective are accomplished throughout the process. AE customers require thorough review of these steps, and you, with support of appropriate disciplines can be asked to review in an appropriate level of depth and detail the evidence of successful completion of deliverables within the PDP process.




  • Thorough understanding of the AE Product Development Process and Quality Assurance Process (QAP).
  • Understanding of key customer requirements for launching new products and platforms for them.
  • Coordination of reviews of deliverables throughout the process with purpose to assess the diligence and effectiveness of those deliverables
  • Communicate various program the status on a regular basis to his Quality Manager and VP of Quality 
  • Develop and track objective accurate measures of the early life unit’s quality and reliability levels and concerns throughout the development process.
  • Coordinate the return of failed / defected products from customers to AE facilities for FA or rework.
  • Coordinate field upgrade / rework activities at customer sites or 3rd party when necessary.



  • A Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering, Science, or other related subject areas is required
  • Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering is preferred.
  • 5 years minimum experience in an electronics product development environment.
  • Previous experience working as a member of product development programs
  • An excellent decision maker and problem solver.
  • Background in the semiconductor business
  • Well organized with the ability to multitask and a great attention to detail.


Compensation:   $97,000-$120,000
