POSITION SUMMARY:                                  

As a Microsoft Azure Cloud Architect, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and optimizing cloud solutions based on Microsoft Azure. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful deployment of Azure services, security, and performance. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and Implement Azure Solutions:
    • Develop and implement robust Azure architectures that align with business requirements.
    • Create scalable, reliable, and secure solutions using Azure services.
    • Optimize existing Azure environments for performance and cost efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Teams:
    • Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration of Azure services.
    • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
    • Leverage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies (e.g., ARM templates, Terraform) to automate deployment and management of Azure resources.
  • Security and Compliance:
    • Design and implement security controls, identity management, and access policies within Azure.
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Performance Optimization:
    • Monitor and analyze Azure workloads to identify bottlenecks and optimize performance.
    • Implement scaling strategies for high availability and load balancing.
  • Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity:
    • Design and implement backup, disaster recovery, and failover solutions.
    • Ensure data integrity and availability during outages.
  • Stay Current with Azure Services:
    • Keep up to date with new Azure features, services, and best practices.
    • Evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance Azure solutions.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Location: Fort Collins, Colorado
  • Environment: Office setting

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong knowledge of Azure services, networking, security, and storage.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

 

EXPERIENCE:                                              

  • Minimum 8 years proven experience in designing and implementing Azure solutions.

 

EDUCATION:                                                                                    

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Azure Certifications (e.g., AZ-303, AZ-304, AZ-500) preferred.

 

COMPENSATION:                           

As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting.  Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location.  The range of starting pay for this role is $120,000 to $165,000 per year.
