POSITION SUMMARY:
The Manager, Service Readiness and Quality, manages the process which insures the Global Service Organization (GSO) is prepared for new products emerging from AE's Prodcut Development Process (PDP). This position is also responsible for the measurement and reporting of performance to short and long-term quality KPI's in Service. Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Function as main Service interface with development teams and program managers throughout PDP.
- Identify and communicate critical Service needs and requirements to product development engineering staff.
- Provide feedback to Service teams (Test, Operations, Engineering, Sales, etc.) on upcoming projects status’ and needs for teams involvement at critical exit stages.
- Conduct regular service readiness reviews with key stakeholders.
- Establish the quality performance goals for Service, measure and report on performance, and work with Service teams towards constant improvement.
- Supports new product service requirements in twelve repair sites in eight countries throughout North America, Europe, Middle East, and Asia.
- Interfaces regularly with management, engineers, planners, and repair sites.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Location: Fort Collins, Colorado
- Occasional domestic and international travel may be required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Deep knowledge of all facets of service operations.
- Solid working knowledge of quality measurement and control.
- Work well within cross-functional teams.
- Excellent interpersonal, communications and presentation skills.
- Ability to generate respect and trust from staff and peers.
EXPERIENCE:
- Strong operations background preferred.
- Experience working within multiple cross-functional teams simultaneously. Multiple location interface experience on an international scale is preferred.
- Proven track record of successful process improvement initiatives.
- Requires experience in resource allocation, capital project management, departmental budget management, and related tasks as required in a fast paced, dynamic, high technology driven manufacturing environment.
- Experience handling change in a dynamic organization.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management or relevant technical field required
- MBA or Masters of Engineering or other relevant technical field desired
COMPENSATION:
As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. The range of starting pay for this role is $110,000 to $140,000 per year.
