POSITION SUMMARY:

The primary function of this Inventory Control Specialist is to ensure inventory accuracy. The Inventory Control Specialist works closely with warehouse personnel and other departments as required to research inventory discrepancies and document and report errors and resolutions. The Inventory Control Specialist performs inventory cycle counts and adjusts inventory in accordance with company policy.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain continuous inventory accuracy.
  • Maintain inventory cycle count schedule and coordinate counts.
  • Support fulfillment operations by resolving inventory problems.
  • Respond to inventory questions and concerns from both logistics employees and internal customers.
  • Offer internal support to assigned customers with inventory-related moves, changes and other requests for assistance with their products.
  • Document and assist in improving inventory procedures and any other procedures that affect inventory accuracy.
  • Document errors and assist in promoting employee accountability.
  • Supports other Logistics & Warehousing functions as needed.
  • Interfaces regularly with Manufacturing, Cost Accounting, and other departments as needed.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Primarily works in a manufacturing environment which may be noisy and fast paced.  Because of the nature of the product being produced, high voltage and current conditions exist and appropriate precautions must be observed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 2 years of inventory control experience preferred.Knowledge of warehousing and inventory control required.
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Ability to operate necessary warehouse equipment.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Must have knowledge and experience using computers daily.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills.
  • Warehouse experience in a high paced production environment desired.

 

EXPERIENCE:

  • 3 - 5 years of material handling, warehousing, cycle counting, or inventory control experience (or equivalent)
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows, Outlook, and Excel

EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

 

COMPENSATION:                           

As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting.  Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location.  The range of starting pay for this role is $20 to $27 per hour.
