POSITION SUMMARY:
Service Supply Chain Interns will perform a variety of tasks in support of the service department supply chain and planning organizations including, but not limited to, inventory analysis & disposition, tariff impact analysis, participating in material distribution to service centers globally, and procurement activities supporting AE goals and initiatives. Will also support data analysis and gain introductory understanding of supply chain industry processes. This position will be full-time 40 h/weekly during summer months with eligibility to stay part time during the school year.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administrative tasks in support of spare part supply of the service centers including tariff analysis
- Generates purchases requisitions and manages purchase orders for the Service Center Managers
- Examine stocks, inventory packages for service repair, and service sales orders
- Prioritize work effectively so that all tasks are completed on time and accurately.
- Responds to requests & inquiries quickly and professionally
- Supports with data analysis and generating reports
- Other duties as assigned
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Usual and customary office working conditions with heavy use of computer technologies.
- Some travel may be required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Capability to respond quickly and professionally to changing requirements
- PC skills: ability to learn new software applications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to work in a team and focus on satisfying internal customer needs
EXPERIENCE:
- Experience with SAP R3 system preferred
EDUCATION:
- Currently enrolled in a university at the Sophomore or Junior level
- Minimum GPA: 3.0
COMPENSATION:
As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. The range of starting pay for this role is $18 to $23 per hour.
