POSITION SUMMARY:                                  

We are looking for a demonstrated operations manager with experience in people management, Cloud Data Center Management, Global Site Server Services, and Tier 3 technical support. This role is responsible for managing a global team to provide overall datacenter support in hardware and software server services. The successful candidate will also guide the improvement of processes and procedures on a continuous basis and manage team and staff performance.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the performance of team(s) of technical professionals
  • Ensure effective and efficient management of day-to-day Cloud data center operations
  • Function as the subject matter expert across all aspects in data center operations
  • Ensure all operational KPIs and metrics are measured and met
  • Inspire and guide improvement in team processes, technology innovation and automation
  • Manage Large Scale Events (outages) and function as the call leader
  • Manage and improve the workflows and through-put for data centers operations
  • Be passionate about the quality and quantity of services being provided, and continuously strive to improve

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Location: Fort Collins/Denver, CO
  • Environment: Office setting

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • In-depth knowledge and experience of change, problem, and incident management
  • Literacy in security and customer data protection
  • Demonstrated communication skills in presentation, open discussion, team coaching
  • Fluent English verbal and written proficiency
  • Financial understanding in annual budgeting, Capex and Opex concepts
  • Project Management skill
  • Knowledge of Server Operations MEP Infrastructure: Power, Cooling & Facilities Management
  • In-depth knowledge on data center operations, processes, and continuous processes improvement
  • Experience in data center Safety and Security measures
  • Knowledge of data center server/VM capacity planning
  • ITIL Foundation
  • Linux certification and/or administration experience - RHCSA/RHCE, LPIC, Linux+
  • Management experience with Cloud Data Centers such as Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and Amazon

 

EXPERIENCE:                                              

  • Minimum 5 years of people management experience with direct reports as their performance manager

 

EDUCATION:                                                                                    

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent

 

COMPENSATION:                           

As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting.  Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location.  The range of starting pay for this role is $115,000 to $145,000 per year.
