POSITION SUMMARY:
The Service Planning Project Manager ensures that Advanced Energy products are service-ready prior to customer release. This role requires close collaboration with program management, product marketing, design and test engineering, materials management, operations and services marketing.
Service-readiness includes:
- Implementing product test and repair processes at global repair centers.
- Ensuring essential Service personnel are trained to support product at AE’s global repair facilities.
- Ensuring materials to support repair are identified.
- Providing Engineering with design-for-serviceability requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participate in new product development teams to create service-readiness plans (test/repair, materials, training, spares, service offerings).
- Ensure assembly and test requirements for product derivatives are created.
- Manage global support solution deployment, including upgrades.
- Coordinate with service test engineering to incorporate serviceability into design
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Location: Fort Collins, CO
- Environment:
- Office and lab setting.
- Travel required, domestic and international.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong project management skills
- Technical aptitude with experience with hardware/software support
- Ability to successfully manage multiple projects and think strategically
EXPERIENCE:
Essential:
- 5+ years supporting electronic hardware products in manufacturing/service roles; global business experience preferred. proficiency in Smartsheet, SharePoint, Microsoft suite; strong problem-solving skills.
Desirable:
- >5 years in design/development or manufacturing support; experience with RF and DC switch mode power supplies.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or equivalent experience.
COMPENSATION:
As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. The range of starting pay for this role is $80,000 to $110,000 per year.
