Position Summary
Manufacturing Engineering Group is Philippine factory’s support to New Product’s Introduction that is based in Eastwood Design Center., it is tasked to collaborate with Design Engineering for a Pro-Active participation on Design for Manufacturing reviews of new models, and their corresponding Standard Times.
Responsibilities
1. Direct participation on CAD reviews with Design Engineer for DFx compliance of Power Supply Assemblies such as Printed Circuit Board layout &
Magnetics Assembly designs before the files are released for New Product build in the factory
2. Active participant on mechanical design conceptual review with Eastwood-Design Engineers
3. New Product Introduction Build Report Design for Manufacturing (DFM) compliance assessment through Design for Manufacturing Reports from Proto up to PILOT stage.
4. Work with the Philippine factory Process team during New Product Introduction builds for DFM compliance assessment.
5. Work directly with Design Engineers in resolving Design for Manufacturability issues found during New Product builds.
6. Work with Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, for continuous update of DFM rules through feedback and assessment of manufacturing
concerns.
7. Support to Philippine Factory-IE for the New Product Build standard time requirement, for routing purposes of Power Supply and
Cables &Magnetics assemblies.
8. Work closely with Technical Costing and Design Engineering on Request for Quotation and New Product Build Standard Time Activities.
9. Carry out activities related to the generation and updates of new or existing Methods Time Measurement Standard Time Elements with the Factory-IE.
Skills
1. Understanding of the different soldering processes involved on any printed circuit board assembly.
2. Able to identify potential assembly difficulties that go against the existing Design for Manufacturing rules.
3. Generate the assembly standard times of power supply assemblies.
Qualifications
1. Graduate of BS-Engineering or any related courses.
2. At least 5 years experience in an electronics manufacturing facility.
