POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Financial Analyst, Corporate FP&A, is a strategic finance role embedded at the center of AE’s decision-making engine. This position partners directly with senior leaders across Technology, IT, HR, Legal, and Corporate Operations to shape how the company plans, invests, and executes against its long‑term strategic objectives.
We are seeking an SFA who is not just technically strong, but intellectually curious and fluent in influencing cross-functional stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings a future‑oriented mindset, the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable business insight, and a passion for building scalable processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deliver highly insightful financial analysis and reporting that helps senior leadership understand functional investments, tradeoffs, and performance drivers.
- Lead key components of the consolidated OPEX/CAPEX forecast cycles—quarterly, annual, and long‑range planning—providing scenario modeling, data-driven recommendations, and analysis of variance trends.
- Build and enhance financial planning tools, models, and processes to support evolving business unit and functional investment strategies.
- Collaborate with Accounting to ensure complete, accurate, and timely accruals and actuals.
- Serve as a strategic business partner to senior leaders across global functions, offering proactive analytical perspectives on operational efficiency, ROI, and resource allocation.
- Provide clear, structured financial insights for monthly and quarterly business reviews.
- Play a key role in AE’s ERP modernization initiative—supporting design, testing, and deployment of improved financial planning and reporting capabilities.
- Build strong, trust‑based relationships across Finance, Business Units, and Corporate Functions.
- Execute special analytical projects that illuminate business issues and shape high‑impact decisions.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Location: Denver, CO; occasional domestic travel required.
- Environment: Standard office environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Exceptional organizational, prioritization, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical foundation with rigorous attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to simplify complexity for executive audiences.
- Demonstrated adaptability and effectiveness in globally diverse teams.
- Track record of identifying and implementing process improvements.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills plus strong PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook capability.
- Demonstrated leadership, business curiosity, and problem‑solving strength.
EXPERIENCE:
Essential:
- 4–7 years of progressive financial analysis experience.
Desirable:
- Experience working within a large ERP ecosystem (SAP, SAC, Oracle, Blackline, Power BI).
- Background supporting financial operations in multinational environments.
- Experience supporting commercial, operational, and corporate functional teams.
EDUCATION:
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
Desirable:
- MBA or professional certification (CPA, CMA).
COMPENSATION:
As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. The range of starting pay for this role is $90,000 to $120,000 per year.
