POSITION SUMMARY                      

 

For this Product Manager position, we are looking for an energetic team player with a positive, ‘can-do’ attitude to work with and support our Denmark operation (Lumasense Technologies A/S). This person will:

  • Be responsible for the long-term commercial success of the PAS product line, in a role that depends on negotiating and influencing skills.
  • Own the coordination of a wide range of product activities between product management, engineering, applications, operations, manufacturing and worldwide sales & service to meet customer needs and to execute competitive strategy. 
  • Be well versed in areas such as product technology, price/cost/margins, internal business processes, customer requirements and satisfaction. 
     

 

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

  1. Customer satisfaction – happy customers drive our success and this person needs to be passionate about delighting customers
  2. Market analysis and market opportunity assessment
  3. Competitive analysis and strategy incl. product positioning and differentiation
  4. Product definition, product roadmap, new product development specifications and applications development
  5. Work with customers and sales team to assess demo equipment requirements, and coordinate demo delivery and installation
  6. Sales support, including technical sales support, expectation management.

 

 

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Fast learner, comfortable in both highly technical and commercial settings

  • Cross-functional teamworking ability
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good organizational, planning, and project management skills
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written
  • B.S. degree in Engineering or Physics with subsequent product-management/marketing training, or equivalent education and/or experience

 

EXPERIENCE

 

Required:

  • 5+ years of product management, applications or sustaining engineering experience

 

Desirable:

  • Experience in gas sensors/analyzers and/or photospectroscopy
  • Experience with industrial markets (automotive, medical, analytical instrumentation, other)
  • Familiarity with ERP system(s) and SalesForce
