POSITION SUMMARY

• We are seeking an experienced Logistics Specialist to manage international freight operations, negotiate transportation costs, coordinate with freight forwarders and shipping lines, and provide logistics analysis and reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of international trade terms (Incoterms), import/export logistics processes, and advanced Excel and analytical skills to support cost control and operational efficiency.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Handle freight inquiries and obtain competitive quotations from freight forwarders, shipping lines, airlines, and transport providers.
• Compare freight quotations and recommend the best transportation options based on cost, transit time, and service level.
• Negotiate freight rates, surcharges, service agreements, and transportation contracts to achieve cost savings.
• Coordinate international shipments (air, sea, and land) and ensure timely delivery.
• Monitor shipment status and resolve transportation issues, delays, and exceptions.
• Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, customs requirements, and company logistics procedures.
• Apply and manage international trade terms (Incoterms 2020) in daily logistics operations.
• Prepare and analyze logistics reports, including freight cost analysis, transportation KPIs, on-time delivery, and logistics performance.
• Maintain accurate logistics records, shipment data, and cost databases.
• Work closely with procurement, warehouse, production, sales, and finance teams to support supply chain operations.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, freight optimization, and cost reduction.
• Issue PR for Freight billing and monitoring freight spending
• Support logistics budgeting, forecasting, and data analysis projects.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in international logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain operations.
• Proven experience in evaluating, selecting, and managing freight forwarders
• Strong knowledge of international freight markets, shipping routes, transit times, carrier networks, and logistics service providers.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct freight inquiries (RFQ/RFP), analyze quotations, compare service offerings, and negotiate competitive freight rates and contract terms.
• Experience in freight cost benchmarking, transportation cost analysis, and identifying cost-saving opportunities while maintaining service quality.
• Ability to evaluate freight forwarders based on key performance indicators (KPIs), including: On-time delivery performance, Transit time reliability, Customs clearance efficiency, Freight cost competitiveness
• Cargo claims and damage ratio
• Financial stability and operational capability
• Strong understanding of Incoterms® 2020, international shipping documentation, customs regulations, and import/export processes.
• Experience coordinating with carriers, shipping lines, airlines, customs brokers, and overseas agents.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, Power Query, dashboards, and data analysis.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills with the ability to prepare logistics performance reports, freight cost analyses, and management presentations.
• Excellent negotiation, supplier management, and vendor relationship management skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced international logistics environment.
