Title:  Buyer II

Responsibilities

  • Manage procurement activities to ensure on-time delivery, supply continuity, and optimal inventory levels.
  • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships, driving improvements in quality, delivery performance, and overall supplier effectiveness.
  • Lead sourcing and purchasing activities, including RFQs, RFIs, supplier negotiations, cost analysis, contract management, and procurement decision-making.
  • Monitor supplier performance and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve delivery, quality, logistics, and payment issues.
  • Implement and optimize procurement systems, tools, and processes to improve operational efficiency and data accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing and supplier data within SAP and ensure compliance with procurement procedures.
  • Support inventory management through forecasting, planning, and supplier rescheduling activities.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to junior buyers while supporting team performance and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, environmental, health & safety, legal, and corporate governance requirements.
  • Act as a key liaison between suppliers and internal stakeholders to align procurement activities with business objectives.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 6-8 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, manufacturing, or new product introduction (NPI) environments.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, sourcing strategies, and inventory control.
  • Proficiency in SAP; experience with Power BI, Tableau, Macro, or other analytics tools is preferred.
  • Excellent supplier negotiation, communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability with experience coordinating projects, leading commodity initiatives, and mentoring junior team members.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to delivering results.
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
