Title:  Engineer II - Test

POSITION SUMMARY:                          

We are seeking a Test Engineer to join our Global Service team.  In this position you will improve, adapt, and implement cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting on automated systems. This role will also perform a variety of technical, multi-disciplined tasks through the products lifecycle process to provide flexible, universal tools and processes for Service repaired products.



  • Ensures testability of existing product designs, providing feedback to design teams and addressing opportunities for resolving defects in Service and field use.
  • Implements test solutions and troubleshoots station issues for global Service centers.
  • Manages the test requirements from the vendor to shipment to the customer.
  • Verifies that products meet their functional requirements - including design verification and manufacturing screens.
  • Prepares test and diagnostic programs, designs test fixtures, develops test software, and completes test specifications and test procedures for new and derivative products.
  • Analyzes capability and ensure control of critical parameters of products and test equipment.
  • Determines inputs to project schedules and guides project work to completion, managing time efficiently.
  • Provides guidance and instruction to technicians building or using Service maintained test equipment.
  • Analyzes data to prove process and test system capability. Reports back to management on a regular basis the health of the test system, provides data to be disseminated to customers and critical internal quality teams.
  • Creates documentation for test systems, test fixtures, test software, and calibration specifications.
  • Configures test station computers with a variety of applications and routinely interface with IT.
  • Remote troubleshooting and limited travel periodically, as needed.



  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Ability operate a variety of electrical test instrumentation.
  • Knowledge of hardware (digital, analog, and RF) and software development (LabVIEW, Test Stand).
  • Strong communication skills with ability to influence design teams, vendors, and customers.
  • Familiarity with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Broad degree of creativity and latitude.
  • Ability to investigate and understand unfamiliar issues on a routine basis.



  • Relevant design/development and/or manufacturing support experience.
  • Proven ability to methodically solve complex, technical issues.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in National Instruments LabVIEW test application development.



  • Bachelors Degree or higher in a relevant Engineering discipline
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering - desired 
  • Experience working with SQL databases, Python, Matlab, SVN - desired
  • Understanding of switch mode power supplies or matching networks - desired


COMPENSATION:$65,000 - $90,000
