POSITION SUMMARY:                                  

Performs testing and troubleshooting of high voltage electronic units to meet production schedules and performance standards. Receives instructions on daily work and new assignments. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Uses test procedures, test equipment, drawings, schematics, and verbal/written instructions to test and troubleshoot high voltage power units
  • Maintains fixturing, performs calibration, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance
  • Performs the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of electronic circuits, components, instruments, and assemblies
  • Documents test results accurately
  • Communicates openly and effectively in a professional manner
  • Understands and follows all safety requirements
  • Understands and follows all ISO practices and procedures
  • May act as the technical interface with other departments
  • Considers the impact of quality on the customers when making decisions
  • Ability to effectively work in a team environment
  • Other duties as assigned

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Works in a manufacturing environment which may be noisy and fast paced.  The Test Department contains live high voltage units up to 60,000V. Overtime (OT) may be required in times of increased production

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to perform basic reading, writing, and math functions
  • Soldering and troubleshooting skills required
  • Ability to perform basic electro/mechanical assembly skills
  • Component identification and the ability to read technical assembly documentation and schematics
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Basic Knowledge of SAP is preferred

 

EXPERIENCE:                                              

  • Minimum of one year experience testing and troubleshooting electrical circuits and assemblies. High voltage experience is preferred
    • Ability to maintain flexibility and adapt in a team environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of ESD practices

 

EDUCATION:                                                                                    

  • AAS degree in electronics or equivalent experience

 

COMPENSATION:                            

As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. The range of starting pay for this role is $ to $ per year.
